Rezumat

In this paper, some approaches are proposed for the application of the Problem-Based Learning method for the teaching and learning of Geographic Information Systems course, as well as concerns about available applications and data and their implementation. PBL is part of a group of recent innovations in active learning that are claimed to have a wide range of positive outcomes for students. Proponents of PBL, both among teachers and students, ensure that it brings benefits not only for assignments or courses, but also for lifelong learning.
