The timing of the expansion of transnational crime imposes the need to increase the categorical attitude towards this phenomenon. The consequences of transnational organized crime undermine political regimes, economic and social order, ultimately afect national security, and subsequently the international security of states. Transnational organized crime by its nature demonstrates the inability of national authorities to manage the situation in their own territories. Therefore, the only effective tool in this regard is the cooperation of states, based on an institutionalized system governed by conventional rules. In the present scientific approach, we aim to elucidate the factors that contribute to the expansion of transnational organized crime. Only by being aware of the reasons for a phenomenon can we, based on the cause-and-effect relationship, be able to identify effeective means of combating it. |
