Landscape metrics defines the measuring of the landscape spatial texture, which was formed under the influence of natural factors and human activities. The landscape metrics highlights the habitation space structure, thus forming a vision for the evolution of the landscape (disappearance of some landscape elements, fragmentation and degradation of others). This study involves a complex issue related to identifying instruments for the geographical landscape measurement and the cultural landscape differentiation within the framework of geographical landscape. Research is focused on tools that can be applied to the analysis of landscape components.The study aimed to reveal the spatial differentiation of landscape types in a panoramic-photographic image, and highlighting the cultural landscape by means of geographical landscape metrics, using GIS applications.
