The article discusses the riddle as a form of oral folk poetry of the Gagauz. The riddles of the Gagauz aptly, figuratively, and laconically reflect not only their world view, the norms of public morality and religious life, but also their attitude to the natural environment. They saved precious evidences of cultural objects, bygone attributes of the traditional life of the people, moral character and spirit of the Gagauz. |
