This study aims to research the Romanian-Soviet diplomatic relations du-ring 1934-1936, ie from the date of establishing formal diplomatic relations bet-ween the two countries, and ending with the dismissal of N. Titulescu, an event that ended a series of attempts, perhaps too enthusiastic, of signing an alliance treaty with USSR, and has contributed as we will demonstrate, to a significant worsening of the Soviet-Romanian relations starting with the the near future. The main stake of this study was to analyze the evolution of these relations throughout this entire period, with a special concern for the conditions in which they have evolved, as well as for the reasons that explain the failure of an amiable dialogue between the two states.
