This article presents the poetry analysis of the Bessarabian writer Petru Cărare, especially in the years of activity during the Soviet occupation in MSSR. There are revealed the consequences of the political, social and cultural context on the literary activity of Petru Cărare and the way of facing the impediments of Soviet censorship. There are reflected specific examples of satirizing and criticizing society and the Soviet regime through controversial poems and the effects of these actions. The purpose of research is to determine the contribution of Petru Cărare in the „poetic” fight with the censorship and in the developing of Bessarabian literature until the 21th century inclusively.
