În prezenta publicație pentru primă dată în istoriografie sunt reflectate file ale biografiei Mariei Cantacuzino, soția a lui Toma (Фома) Cantacuzino, general, unul din persoanele apropiate lui Petru cel Mare. La baza acestei cercetări au fost puse mai multe documente, de primă dată descoperite de autor în diferite arhive de stat a Federației Ruse și puse în cercuitul științific. Un element important al publicației prezente constă în faptul, că descrierea datelor din biografia Mariei Cantacuzino se efectuează în contextul evenimentelor politice din primul sfert al sec. al XVIII-lea, precum și a cunoștințelor și corespondenței ei cu demnitarii de stat al Imperiului Rus. Pentru primă dată în istoriografie autorul publicației date cercetează problema stării materiale a contesei în Rusia. Totodată, articolul revarsă lumina asupra mai multor date din biografia Mariei Cantacuzino, necunoscute anterior, cum ar fi: sosirea ei în Rusia, locul de trai, precum și data morții. Prezenta publicație, efectuată în baza documentelor de arhivă descoperite și introduse prima dată în circulația științifică, permite prezentarea statutului de proprietate și a posesiunilor familiei Cantacuzino în Rusia din prima jumătate a secolului al XVIII-lea, precum și soarta lor după moartea proprietarilor

В данной публикации впервые освещаются страницы биографии Марии Андреевны Кантакузино, супруги сподвижника Петра Великого, генерал-майора русской армии Фомы (Томы) Кантакузино. В основу исследования легли материалы, обнаруженные автором в государственных архивах Российской Федерации. Отличительной особенностью данной публикации является тот факт, что биографические данные Марии Кантакузино раскрываются в контексте политических событий первой четверти XVIII столетия, а также личных ее связей с государственными деятелями Российского государства. Автор впервые рассматривает вопрос материального положения графини в России. Вместе с тем публикация проливает свет на ранее неизвестные биографические данные Марии Кантакузино – время и условия ее прибытия в Россию, места проживания, а также дату кончины. Настоящая публикация, на основе обнаруженных и вводимых в научный оборот архивных документов, позволяет показать имущественное состояние и владения семейства Кантакузино в России в первой половине XVIII столетия, а также их судьбу после кончины владельцев.

Thе present publication is the first in historiography to highlight the unknown pages from the biography of Maria Andreevna Kantakuzino, wife of Foma (Toma) Kantakuzino, Major General of the Russian Army, an associate of Peter the Great. The research is based on documents discovered by the author in the State archives of the Russian Federation. The hallmark of this article is the fact, that the biographical data of Maria Cantacuzino are disclosed in the context of the political events of the 1st quarter of the 18th century, as well as her personal ties and correspondence with statesmen of the Russian Empire, the author reflects the issue of the financial situation of the countess in Russia. At the same time, the publication sheds light on the previously unknown biographical data of Maria Cantacuzino – the time and conditions of her arrival in Russia, the place of residence, as well as the date of her death. This publication, on the basis of archival documents discovered and introduced into scientific circulation, makes it possible to show the property status and possessions of the Cantacuzino family in Russia in the first half of the 18th century, as well as their fate after the death of the owners.
