Background. The end of modernity has put in question the problems concerning gender differences, sexual identity of individuals and sexual minorities. The question is: how much from the identity as bodily-sexual matter depends on gender identity as socio-cultural matter? Objective of the study. Analysis and recognition of problems in gender self-identification and the role of this self-identification in the context of changing social roles. Material and Methods. To carry out this study , scientific sources, national and international reference publications were studied. Methods such as comparative analysis, descriptive, bioethics, biostatistics and others were used. Results: The research topic focused on the problems of identifying and forming the concept of "I" under the aegis of gender identity, determined by historical, spatial, cultural-ethnic influences, but especially by gender relations. Studies show that in both primary (childhood) and secondary (adolescence and youth) socialization, even later, the social context urges the individual to follow the prescriptions of the gender role, so it has been shown that there can be a relationship. conversely, so external factors may influence to some extent the hormonal secretions corresponding to the differentiation mechanism. Conclusion. Social affiliation or the influences of the primary group can be the causes of a different gender identification and the adoption of one of the models (female, male or androgynous) or gender undifferentiation, which can cause a situation of intrapersonal tension and social maladaptation. |
