In the conditions of irreversible climate change, those species are in great demand, which over the centuries, have survived in difficult conditions of aridity, providing the local population with valuable food. Those foods, which have a high nutritional value in relation to a small volume of product such as Nigella damascena L. and Nigella sativa L. from the Ranunculaceae family, Sesamum indicum L.– have not lost their relevance. sesame belonging to the Pedaliaceae family, Salvia hispanica L. or chia from the Lamiaceae family. Because they are species with confirmed nutritional and therapeutic value, they have been studied for acclimatization, multiplication and subsequent introduction as food and medicinal resources. The seeds and products resulting from their processing are the valuable raw material of these species.Through laboratory tests were studied over several years, the capacity and germination energy of freshly harvested and preserved seeds of the nominated species, mass of the 1000 seeds, as well as the shelf life of viable seeds. |
