In this paper I have described, the essence, prospects and challenges of the military leader within National Army. The paper’s subject has been revealed by general considerations regarding the leader and leadership, the military leader concept, the tasks and responsibilities of the military leader as well as the leadership styles. An important role within the paper is attributed to the essence of effective military leader in a leadership position, his skills and motivation in the light of command routine. Also, this paper is characterized by a whole range of characteristics, abilities and skills which effective military leaders possess and an entire set of arguments to the importance of military leaders’ management skills. Finally, the submitted conclusions and proposals can be considered very useful and at some extent indicative in the activity of a military leader with trends towards efficiency. |
