Rezumat

Environmental education traditionally has focused on changing individual knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. There is a sustainable link between education and life quality. Education and training of the young have above all turned towards adaptation to the new active citizenship principles, which mean power of decision and action.  Even in primary school is possible for the pupils to learn by doing. In view of the above, I implemented the project `Danube Today, Danube Tomorrow` in which children could act like adults. They found a local ecological problem and they solved it in partnership with local authorities. The most important gain of the project is that children understood that `implication` means that an active citizen fulfills both his rights and responsibilities in a balanced way.
