Rezumat

The present study is targeting the operation parameters of 2.0 l gasoline fuel supplyed engine for a wide range of throttle positions, by which it is expressed the loading charge by the request of the driver. Rally cars are working in various chalenging conditions in order to gain the requested or expected performances. The main objective of the study is to develop an experimental research and to analyze the variation in the manifold pressure of the air intake flow, as well as the fuel injection duty, ignition advance and Lambda versus the throttle position for the Mitsubishii Lancer EVO9 2.0 l with spark ignited engine. Fuel supply system and air intake manifold are both provided with a pack of sensors for monitoring the pressures, timing of operation and eventualy the level of excess air coefficient (Lambda) in order to control more strictly the injection sequence and the mizture formation. Data from sensors is taken by the electronic control unit (ECU) which takes decision and actuate the injector solenoids starting the mixture formation procedure. Specific objectives of the study are consisting in conFig.tion of measuring equipments in close relation with the vehicles electronic systems, the calibration of the instruments and devices, the methodology definition and system schematic, as well as the rally car operational tests and experimental determinations. The results are graphically represented and discused. Further studies are proposed and the background is thus defined.
