Rezumat

The article presents methods and protective devices for cattle from high solar activity in the hottest period of the year developed by the authors. It is recommended to change the regimes of livestock keeping in the summer with the purpose of optimization, which helps to maintain homeostasis and the high productivity of animals. A new method for determination of individual resistance of animals to the thermal stimulus was developed. We studied the state of health in cows depending on the spread of the white colour on the skin in the conditions of hot climate and intensive solar radiation. It was found that both young and adult animals with a predominance of white colour are characterized by high resistance to sunlight during the hot period of the year when compared with individuals of the black colour. We studied the ways of attenuation of high sunlight intensity by sheds with different coating. We describe sheds of a new design. The fitting out of the shed with light protection net, permeable to air, allows you to protect animals kept in the backyard area under cover, out of direct sunlight. The use of sheds, protecting animals on the backyard area away from direct sunlight, can improve the zoohygienic conditions of keeping animals; reduce costs through the use of design with low consumption of materials.
