Rezumat | ||||||
Most of the Tajikistan lands, which are irrigated and developed for agricultural crops, have large slopes of 0.008-0.05 and they are very infertile. Stony soils in the Sughd region occupy about 163 thousand hectares according to data of large-scale mapping expedition of Institute of Soil Science. Erosion processes in the region are widely developed. About 44% of the area is subject to water erosion, 23% to deflation (wind erosion), and 1% to irrigation and ravine erosion. More than 20% of the area is represented by rocks, pebbles, glaciers, allies and one surface, only 12% of the area of the naturaleconomic area falls on the share of eroded territories. |
