Factors such as climate (temperature, precipitation, humidity etc.), edaphic (physical and chemical properties, soil texture), topographic (elevation and exposure conditions) and biotic (weeds, diseases, pests, soil microorganisms) are important components of the complex environmental conditions for plant growth and development of tobacco. Temperature and water stress (temperature increase of more than 38oC and the lack of precipitation), diseases (phytoplasma and Y-virus potato) provoke burning of leaves and sterile tobacco flower. |
