In article are given results of the analysis of the current state of branch of lactic cattle breeding in the Republic of Moldova. Crisis of national economy in the republic, the high share of import of the foodstuffs and raw materials, difficulties with production sale and violation of many economic communications negatively affected development of lactic cattle breeding. From 1992 to 2001 milk production from one cow in the country decreased on the average by 29,3 - 48,8%. Since 2004 is observed the gradual increase in lactic production. In 2011 lactic production from each cow has constituted 3224 kg of milk that is 19,7% less, than in 1989. Production of milk was reduced 2,7 times and production of milk per capita - 2,3 times, with medical norm of 360 kg. Now the breeding base of lactic cattle breeding of the Republic of Moldova is presented by 8 farms.
