Three new 1D coordination polymers [Co(ad)(4-pyao)2]n (1), [Co(sub)(4- pyao)2(H2O)]n (2) and [Co(seb)(4-pyao)2]n (3) (where 4-pyao – 4-pyridinealdoxime, H2ad – adipic acid, H2sub – suberic acid, H2seb – sebacic acid) were synthetized by reactions of cobalt(II) salts with different dicarboxylic ligands and characterized by IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The metal atoms in 1–3 have N2O4 coordination cores. To each Co(II) ion coordinate two 4-pyao molecules in monodentate modes and two bis-chelating adipato residue in 1 (Fig. 1); one bischelating and one mono-bidentate sub residues and one water molecule in 2 (Fig. 2); three chelating-bidentate sub- residues in 3 (Fig. 3). The IR spectra of compounds 1-3 contain bands typical for carboxylic groups at 1375-1404 cm-1, indicating νs(CO2) vibrations. The bands of medium intensity at 1548-1552 cm-1 can be assigned to the νas(CO2) stretching. The 4pyridinealdoxime coordinates to the metal as a neutral ligand in monodentate way, while the bidentate dicarboxylic acids provide extensions of structures. |
