The role of a consumer is important in an economic system of any state. An informed and educated consumer can influence the economic development of the state by encouraging competition and innovation within the business environment. Decision-making capacity of the consumer is not just a question of their rights, but also concerns the creation of a global environment that enables consumers to exercise their rights and to benefit from them.  Continuous monitoring of consumer behavior is essential both in economic terms and in the public policy of the state in this area. It is of a major importance to establish an adequate regulatory framework for consumer protection and the establishment of „robust” bodies to protect them.
