This article is devoted to an assessment of the importance of blackberry as a fruit-bearing shrub, in the Republic of Moldova; it presents data on the therapeutic and nutritional value, as well as the health benefits of blackberries. The description of the stages of development, the morphobiological characteristics, the pedoclimatic requirements, the results of testing 15 varieties of thornless blackberry and the blackberry x raspberry hybrid, the so-called red blackberry, and the conditions for the acclimatization and the adaptation of the recommended varieties, in our country, is given below. |
