Library 2. 0 could be a solution for all these problems. The Library and web 2.0 are two techno-social entities of which trajectories cross their ways. Web 2.0 is a term describing the trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, information sharing and collaboration. This article suggests that web 2.0 will have substantial implications for libraries. In this paper, web 2.0 applications, which can be use in libraries, are identified, specifically addressing how wikis and RSS feeds can improve the access to library’s collections. This approach may constitute an impulse, addressed to libraries, in order to explore the possibilities and opportunities offered by web 2.0, as well as a starting point towards the on-line services’ transformation, offered by the libraries, into interactive ones, based on an active and constant communication with the new age users.
