This article has an attempt to determine the definition of the characteristic features of verbal expressions in the German language such as “sich warm laufen”, which is actually the answer to the question whether we take into account some word combinations in which the root is a reflexive verb with adverbial element or verbal compounds, i.e. pseudo-compounds with occasional reflexivity. The actuality of this problem is defined by the fact that the object of research should be searched in borderline between word formation and form formation. Thus the author tries to ground the thesis of the relevance of grammatical sign of “reflexivity” in this type of word formation.
