In the article Stylistic Values of Interjections in Romanian and French are analyzed two hypotheses - one general – through which languages have more or less an interjective character,
and one particular, through which is presented that the Romanian language is more intrijective than the French language. These hypotheses of intercultural pragmatics are based on empirical observations that represent the most concrete and reliable arguments in linguistic investigations.
Also, it is argued from several points of view that interjection is a modalizator of declarative, axiological and interactive nature for both Romanian, and for the French languages. Therefore, the interjection is a linguistic sign with triple status: indicational, iconic and symbolic.
This can be observed in the literary works of I. L. Caragiale – an author who characterizes his characters through language, otherwise very colorful, full of verbal tics, exclamative structures and interjections. Sometimes one and the same interjection can acquire several meanings, expressing
different emotions and/or physical sensations. |
