In A. Codru‘s literary writings the myth of stone is a creation principle becoming the essential waz of the poetical thinking and the fundamental principle of his artistic world. The poet identifies himself with a stonemason, who continuously works over the word that is the representation of „stone‖ being hard, solid, tasteless, lacking an even colour, but in A. Codru‘s poetry it gets a lively projection in which the poet dives. The world gets hardness, strongness, passing throughout centuries as an uncomparable masterpiece of the basarabian writer A. Codru. The stone makes of the poet A. Codru a fighter who fights for the preservation of the fundamental values of our nation in the name of the word that „renders the truth‖.
