The article is dedicated to the analysis of security concepts, comprising multiple theoretical aspects. The complex study of the security concept, comprises fundamental components that are imposing not only the definition, but also the implementation of these concepts within the internal and external strategies of the state. The article studies the security concept and enumerates the security types. The author underlines the factors which that determine the necessity of continuous update of general security concepts and national security, thus making it the most important preoccupation of the state. This is because of the amplification of threats and risks of different nature. The article treats the the concept of national security of the Republic of Moldova within the framework of international and global security.
