Although already in 1948 the Soviet World Publishing house was founded in Prague, wishing to make the literature from all the Soviet Union republics available to the Czech readers, the first Moldavian authors´works were published in Czech in the 1970´s,
translated from Russian. Thus the first translation from the Romanian original were published in the second half of the 1980´, a more systematic translation started after 2000, when a facultative Moldavian literature course was also opened at the Faculty of Philology of Prague Charles University. |
