The influence features of ethilism in Gilbert hyperbilirubinemia
Recent sources WHO define ethilism as a condition in which a subject consumes alcohol in
the detriment of his health, personal activity and social career, losing control over drinking and being unable to abstain from consumption. Gilbert's syndrome, often shortened to GS, also called Gilbert-Meulengracht syndrome, is the most common hereditary cause of increased bilirubin and is found in up to 5% of the population. It has an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance with incomplete penetrance. The main symptom is otherwise harmless jaundice, which does not require treatment, caused by elevated levels of unconjugated bilirubin in the bloodstream (hyperbilirubinemia). Influence of alcohol on the syndrome is negative. as it may affect several levels, so that, pathogenetically we distinguish:
decreased activity transferase glucoronil hepatocytes;
disorder capture process hepatocytes to bilirubin;
60% of cases are associated with discrete-moderate hemolysis caused by shortened red cell life.
Whese will ultimately lead to serious changes in metabolism. |
