Research on totalitarian regimes and their development dynamics and development in today’s world constitutes a political science vital issue with both theoretical and political significance.
Italian philosopher Gentile introduced the term of totalitarism into the category scientific system in the early 1920’s. According to his opinion, a totalitarian state with an unlimited power that is based on the fascist ideology as a “total life conception” plays the main role in determining of a nation’s destiny. At the very beginning of its spread in Europe the term had a negative connotation as well. This term is neutral. It is used for describing of regimes with respective social and political
features. A positive or negative connotation is exclusively attributed by the context, as well as by the researcher’s vision. |
