Divergent expression of endoglin and marker of proliferation Ki67 in the benign and malign lesions of the uterine cervix In this study we show, for the first time, application of double immunohistochemical stain method using endothelial marker of high specificity (CD105) and marker of proliferation (Ki67), applied on the neoplazic specimens of the uterine cervix imbedded in the paraffin. This method represents high accurateness in functional status interpretation of the blood vessels. On the base of obtained results, we can conclude the hypothesis that activation and proliferation of endothelial cells are distinctive processes in the precursor and malign lesions of the uterine cervix. Activation of endothelial cells is an early stage that predominates in the cervical intracellular lesions of the uterine cervix, while the endothelial proliferation is observed in blood vessels of the invasive carcinomas. |
