This articles underlies the role and influence of parental environment on the process of formation and development of gender-linked conduct and gender-linked stereotypes. The research was carried out on a sample of 261 children aged 2 years and 8 months and 6 years and 11 months, with an average age of 60.69 months (SD = 13.58): 128 girls, 133 boys. The sample also included 522 parents aged 23 years and 50 years (m = 33.76, SD = 4.40). The results have showed that a sex-typed environment (represented by sex-typed parents) is related with a high level of children‘s gender-role stereotype knowledge. There were no significance results for the domain of adult‘s occupation and activities. |
