The way in which ethnic minorities are included in the democratic process strongly influences the interethnic relations. To create an inclusive society is an important task for any democratic government. Overall, international practice knows different strategies regarding the minorities integration in the political life. An important role on the political representation of ethnic minorities plays by their political parties. The main goal of this article is the analysis of external experience on political representation of ethnic minorities reflected by the lead-ing authors, but also we will transpose this issue to our state reality. We consi-der that the political status of Gagauz in Moldova is a particular case of mana-gement in the domain of interethnic relations. This paper will reflects the speci-fic features and lacks of political representation through their political parties; the impact of electoral law on party system; the creation and the reliability of minority’s parties, particularly regarding Gagauz party, the statement of legis-lative representation of the Gagauz in Moldova. |
