According to the archaeological results found in several ancient resorts on the territory of the Dniester-Prut interfluve, enough artifacts were found that demonstrate that the respective population practiced fruit picking in the forests. In fact, the collection of fruits is specific to all historical eras and to all human settlements. Only the diversity of the plants and their weight differed. The vine present in the forests that formed grapes with attractive berries, could not remain unnoticed. Archaeological investigations have shown that within the settlements of the Criş-Sacarovca culture (9,500-8,000 years ago), grapevines also grew near the settlements with cherry trees.
