The article examines the transformation of the classical doctrine of development in post-classical philosophical rationality, in particular synergetic methodology. The new research strategy develops the methodological principles of systemic and dialectical approaches, concentrating its efforts on studying the patterns of formation, structural ordering and dynamics of complex self-organizing systems in conditions of instability. The role of synergetics in the development of new ideas about the dynamism of being is revealed. A new picture of the world constructed by synergetics is characterized.
