The article discusses the importance of competent using of research methods in curricular and extracurricular lessons and activities. These methods help children to improve the knowledge of their native language and strengthen the love to motherland. The research work is an essential mechanism in the education of pupil's cultural identity. The main goal of the educational and research work is teaching pupils to find own ways to learn in order to shape their personality. This study helps children to realize their ethnic identity, national belonging and the responsability to protect Gagauz language. The practice of research works in educational process develops pupils' language skills, emotional intellegence and creativity.
