Teratomas are neoplasms of germ cell origin and they can be classified as mature or immature on the basis of the presence of immature neuroectodermal elements within the tumor; the mature type can be further classified as solid or cystic. According to literature review, the pancreas is the rarest site of presentation of teratomas. The majority of patients were symptomatic by unspecific gastrointestinal complaints. Preoperative diagnosis is challenging, and surgical resection is the standard treatment.
