Educational Data Mining (EDM) is an intelligent analysis of data obtained from the educational environment. The main purpose of using EDM is to improve the educational process. EDM is using Data Mining methods for data processing. This article provides a brief description of an example of processing data obtained in an educational environment using Kohonen Maps (clustering). EDM was used for pedagogical purposes, for the general assessment of the developed course “Data Mining”. Intellectual data processing with Kohonen Maps allowed to obtain an overall assessment of the course and obtain a basis for further analysis in order to expand and optimize the “Data Mining” course.
