The problem of the profiles of the enchantresses through the prism of the personalization of „magical agents” is a complex one possessing ethnocultural, imagological and anthropological valences. The main aspects of the problem are investigated by applying oral history methodology, comparative method and case study. The documentary basis is made up of historical and ethnographic sources resulting from field investigations. The personality dimensions of each individual enchantress are presented through the prism of complex, critical approaches and the promotion of general human values. In terms of cultural anthropology, the lives of women enchantresses are marked by multiple moral and spiritual contradictions, prejudices and pagan superstitions masked under a pretending Christian origin. In the context of the personalization of the enchantresses, the cultural interferences between different rural communities, regarding the practice of certain folk and magical therapy practices, are relevant.
