Rezumat

The article is dedicated to the promotion abroad of the identity of the national culture through music. Representing an indispensable part of European culture, its resonances (of music) are captured and chronicled in the records of printed editions, in the artistically valued product, sublimated in the creative endeavors of composers from countries such as England, France, Germany, Russia. The purpose of the paper is to perceive how our music is illustrated, in its various poses and forms, how its image, being gradually integrated into the European cultural landscape, is establish abroad in the first half of the 19th century. The accelerated circulation of spiritual values during this period was facilitated by the fact that, at the beginning of the century, the influence of the Ottoman Porte in the internal life of the Principalities decreased. As consequence, the relations with Western countries strengthened, which led to the increase in the flow of travelers, guests, visitors, merchants, etc., to mutual knowledge and communication, to the intensification of the exchange and the assimilation of goods and information from various fields. Music is among them. The attention of foreigners is, most of the time, music in the form of national dances, but the ethnic song does not go unnoticed either, which, together with the folk dance, particularizes the imprint of individuality, the identical features and the originality of the culture, thus establishing bridges of connection with the countries in the European space, which will contribute to precipitating the ascendant course of the Romanian Countries and to the approach to living standards, will energize the rising course of modernization.
