Rezumat

This article explores the impact of dual education on enhancing digital ICT skills, specifically focusing on digital economics. It addresses the persistent gap between the educational system and the evolving digital job market. The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova has introduced dual higher education to equip young IT professionals with modern digital skills. This initiative aims to bridge the divide between traditional education and contemporary job market needs, recognizing the growing importance of digital economic principles. The practical approach of this idea are based on education ecosystem created in 2014 in partnership with Innovative Incubator IT4BA and ICT faculty of ASEM academy. As a result in 2021-2022 academic year first group on Applied Informatics specialty Infa-223 was created within the dual system, was implemented thanks to the project Coopera Integrating Dual Higher Education In Moldova And Ukraine started in 2021. Purpose: To showcase the impact of dual higher education on modern digital ICT skill development in the context of digital economics. Methods: Employed observation, case studies, field research, and analysis. Results: The dual system approach established new collaborations with ICT partners, introduced curricula aligned with corporate programs, and enabled students to quickly adapt to digital economy job market demands. Conclusions: Implementing the dual system within the Infa-223 academic group was successful, setting students on a path to thrive in ICT careers. Participants gained theoretical knowledge and practical experience, fostering academic and professional development.
