Rezumat

Preservation of the cultural heritage of Ukraine remains an urgent issue today. The activities of museums, in particular, regional museums, as custodians of material heritage, are important. The article examines exhibits of folk crafts of the end of the 19th – mid-20th centuries of Kodyma Museum of Local Lore. The museum’s collection was formed over 15 years, during which time substantial collection work was carried out. From the analysis of the collected source base, it was revealed how crafts developed by type: pottery, weaving, embroidery. Since the 18th century, there has been an interpenetration of the traditions of Ukrainians and Moldovans in the Kodyma region, which was reflected in weaving, directly in the compositions of carpets. Widespread in this locality were: weaving, pottery, weaving, embroidery, cooperage, carpentry, tailoring. The crafts of the villages of Pyrizhna, Zagnitkiv, and Bashtankiv were examined. It is known that weaving was particularly developed in the villages of Bashtankiv and Zagnitkiv. Pottery was widespread in the village of Pyrizhna. The museum’s collection is not cataloged, so there is a need for further study of the features of products by species in the region.
