Rezumat

In science, classification has an extremely important role, representing one of the most important aspects of the systemic approach to the researched phenomena. Classification contributes to the systematization of accumulated knowledge and, respectively, to its significant application, ensuring complete and comprehensive research of the objects studied. For it to have a substantial role in science and practice, classification must operate with the most substantial qualities and features of the classified objects. The foregoing also refers to the classification of evidence in the criminal procedure. The importance of such a classification is determined, first of all, by the complexity and versatility of evidence, the diversity of origin, the character, structure and functions of evidence in the criminal procedure. The entire body of evidence can identify, fully establish the circumstances of the case only if it forms a system capable of authentically establishing all the elements of the object of proof. However, the research of this system involves the classification of the component parts that form its content.
