In Nichita Stănescu’s poetry the universe is dominated by the effluvia of love, which produces an empathic and visionary communion, with orphic, founding reflections. On the other hand, the poet transcribes spiritualized landscapes, shrouded in a seraphic light and melodious ambience, in which beings find themselves in ecstatic harmony. Existence itself is perceived under the sign of paradox and antinomies, whereby the multiple, the spiritual and the corporeal, the dynamic and the static seem to devote themselves to the complementary and fascinating meanings of existence, the relation of the self to being ambiguous, insofar as affirmation and negation, essence and phenomenality come together in the combinatory games of consciousness and language.
