Mulți fie nu pătrund natura creației lui Leonid Dimov, fie o înțeleg superficial, nerecunoscându-i originalitatea și tratându-l ca pe un poet controversat. Cu toate acestea, toți sunt fascinați de poeziile sale și îl admiră pe creator, întrucât lumea poemelor lui este pătrunsă de un desen abstract, de un telecolaj cu noi convenții ludice, transmutat dintr-un alt real. Nici visul, nici realitatea nu sunt concrete, ci abstracte, făurite după un cod enigmatic și ispititor. Poezia lui Dimov este seducătoare, pentru că un cititor nu poate rezista unui creator liber. Onirismul leagă creatorul și lectorul său printr-o promisiune euristică. Pentru Leonid Dimov poezia se naște din încheierea unui pact între poezie și viață, între poezie și lume. Poetul distruge lumea pre-poetică și edifică o lume nouă, onirică, locuind în ea ca un demon ciudat, și proiectându-și imaginea de artist în tot felul de reprezentanți alegorici: bufonul, saltimbancul, jonglerul, giuvaiergiul ș.a.m.d. Dimov a abordat visul luat ca model abstract și nu ca sursă de creație, conducându-se după o poetică neo-onirică. Creând vise, autorul cuprinde întreg existențialul, pătrunzând el însuși în aceste lumi născocite, străine, chiar neomenești.

Many either do not understand the nature of Dimov’s creation, or understand it superficially, not recognizing his originality and treating him as a controversial poet. However, everyone is fascinated by his poems and admires the creator, as the world of his poems is permeated by an abstract drawing, a telecollage with new playful conventions, transmuted from another reality. Neither the dream nor the reality is concrete, but abstract, made according to an enigmatic and tempting code. Dimov’s poetry is seductive, because a reader cannot resist a free creator. Oneirism binds its creator and lecturer through a heuristic promise. For Leonid Dimov, poetry is born from the conclusion of a pact between poetry and life, between poetry and the world. The poet destroys the pre-poetic world and builds a new, dreamlike world, living in it like a strange demon, and projecting his image as an artist in all kinds of allegorical representatives: the jester, the acrobat, the juggler, the jeweler, etc. Dimov approached the dream taken as an abstract model and not as a source of creation, following a neo-oneiric poetics. By creating dreams, the author encompasses the whole of existence, entering these invented, alien, even inhuman worlds.
