The year of political miracles 1989, signifies at the European and global level, the end of the Cold War, the beginning of the end of the soviet empire, the Fall of the Berlin Wall, reunification of the German nation - events of epochal importance without which the national emancipation of Eastern-European people and condemning the communism as an ideology against human being, haven’t been possible. Long and hard was the way of Moldovans between Prut and Nistru to the Saint Liberty. Animated by the intellectuality from Chisinau, the popular movement between the years 1988-1989 was axed on an essential identity message- passing to the Latin alphabet and officializing the Romanian language as a state language. The year 1989 didn’t
come on a bear place. The strike for the national values was a smouldering one, but it continues in this space and forms a special chapter of great tragedy and sacrifice in the national history. |
