Rezumat

Profound changes occurred in the Romania political, social and economic structure after 1989, led to risk factors increased that cause environmental degradation, particularly of soil and vegetation. Soil erosion prevention and control, followed by complex recovery of degraded land, is one of the important actions that face our country lately. Soil erosion is a process almost impossible to stop, diffi cult to control, which can easily be accelerated by human activities. The erosion of many land has acted up to such a level that is practically impossible to restore the original layer of soil that has been created by nature over hundreds of years. The present paper presents a redevelopment project for stream slope stabilization and for green space that bordering the watercourse, in Sieut, Bistrita-Nasaud. Development proposal complies with landscape design requirements and principles: planning appropriate style to fi t the surrounding landscape, the correct choice of ornamental species, replacement of old or damaged specimens, selecting the appropriate location of facilities and decorative objects (benches, pergolas, lanterns, etc.).
