Ion Creangă – one of the most appreciated romanian writers – drew inspiration for his literary works from everyday life, from our folkloric pearls, from the folk wisdom. In fact, a distiguishing feature of the literary art by the famous author from Humulești consists in its folklore fund, in its funny tone, in the certain didactic character. Moreover, Creangă is one of our writers, who can be told about: „our eternal Ion Creangă”. And rightly so, he is forever ours! For the reason that we used to absorb him avidly in our tender years, he has become an integral part of the eternaly alive childhood and thus, precious for us. Like that, in his fairy tales, with horizons full of magic, the calls of nowadays are bustling as well. Since many problems of life, to which Creangă found a solution just in the fairy-tale world, are delt with in all times in the real world.
