The end of the 1980s becomes a turning point in the relations between the Soviet state and the Protestant confessional minorities. Against the backdrop of the „glasnost” policy, the position of Protestant cults and currents, which were traditionally pursued by the Soviet state, is highlighted and strengthened. In the USSR, located on the periphery of the Soviet empire, these changes are especially noticeable. In these conditions, for the assessment of the state of society by the Soviet authorities of the MSSR, a complex sociological study devoted to studying the views of young Christians is carried out. The author of the article analyzes the sociological data obtained from the archive through the prism of the evaluation of civil views of the youth of Protestant communities. |
