Downy oak trees fructification ability succeeds a longer time compared to other oak species. If fructification periodicity of the sessile oak is abundant and constant in 3-6 years, the pendunculate oak, is abundant after an interval of 3-8 years, then the downy oaks‟ fructification is very rare, namely from 6-8 years. In the intermediate years between those with abundant fructification, downy oak produce weak "splashing" almost annually. Abundant blooms occur basically every year, but various factors influencing their development from initiation to maturity; weather conditions, pests and plant‟s physiological status being the main factors influencing the ability of downy oak fructification. |
