We measured the first Aharonov-Bohm oscillation at a field of 14 T, in perfect agreement with our model based on the structural properties determined by cross-sectional scanning tunneling microscopy measurements. The observed oscillation magnitude of the magnetic moment per electron is remarkably large for the topology of our nanostructures, which are singly connected and exhibit a pronounced shape asymmetry</p></dc:description> <dc:identifier>10.1103/PhysRevLett.99.146808</dc:identifier> <dc:source>Physical Review Letters () 0-0</dc:source> <dc:subject>Engineering controlled terms Magnetization</dc:subject> <dc:subject>molecular modeling</dc:subject> <dc:subject>nanostructures</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Oscillators (electronic)</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Scanning tunneling microscopy</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Self assembly Engineering uncontrolled terms Aharonov-Bohm oscillations</dc:subject> <dc:subject>quantum rings</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Shape asymmetry</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Single electron Engineering main heading Quantum theory</dc:subject> <dc:title>Oscillatory persistent currents in self-assembled quantum rings</dc:title> <dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type> </oai_dc:dc>
