In the study of the 12 Landscape Reserves (RP) from the Northern Development Region (RDN), we tried to adjust these objects to the international and regional classifications regarding the typology of landscapes (aspects related to fundamental research), but, at the same time, we try to highlight the landscape value of some natural elements (aspects related to applied research). The latter are important, for the institutions that carry out the monitoring and management of the RP, and in the context of the Sustainable Development of the given region, they possess a valuable touristic and cognitive potential, through the abundance of valuable morphological, geological, hydrological, biotic, etc. elements, which require scientifically argued regulations clear regarding both their conservation and exploitation. Valuable natural elements highlight the strip of toltre in the NW of the region, which creates a picturesque erosive-karst landscape of appreciable aesthetic-recreational and cognitive value. |
