There are poems written about cities or settlements in classical Turkish poetry. One of the regions mentioned by poets is Boğdan. In this study, it has been discussed in which aspects of Boğdan and the settlements belonging to it are the subject of poems. The main divans written between 14 and 15th centuries were examined, and the couplets made a reference to Istanbul were identified and a general situation assessment was made. Firstly, the eulogy written on the military expeditions and assignments made to the Boğdan region and the dates were focused on. And then, using the words of the Boğdan and the Kara Boğdan, the elements of similes, metaphors and imagination encountered in poems are discussed. |
